Microscope Focus
Motorized Focus Drive
Motorized Focus Drive
The
MXMS-MFi is designed to attach to our
MXMS series microscope
translators and drive the manual focus knob on the microscope. Some of
the most common microscopes used in electrophysiology today have the focus
knob at the back of the microscope base. This location makes it difficult
to
access and, in some cases, may disturb the stability of the experiment
merely
by touching the scope. This motorized drive solves these problems by
bringing
the focus control to the handheld controller unit thereby isolating and
eliminating the motion of the user's hand.
Like all of our motorized devices the
MXMS-MFi uses electrically quiet
running DC servo motors that can run inside the electrophysiology rig
without disturbing recordings. All cabling is shielded, and there is an
ENABLE/DISABLE switch to disengage the motor drive when manual adjustments
are required.
Please
tell us the model of microscope you are using, so we can supply the
appropriate coupling hardware.
