Micromanipulators
Motorized,
Base Mount 4 Axis
The MX7600 motorized 4-axis micromanipulator is ideal for patch and
intracellular recording experiments.
Crossed-roller bearings provide exceptionally smooth linear travel.
Precision preloaded lead screws with encoded, closed-loop DC motors ensure drift-free operation. The probe axis is independent, with a clamp
that allows angular adjustment from 0° to 180° - you aren't limited to
pre-programmed angles. The electrode travels straight into the target
cell, not by iterating between two axes with a " stair-step " approach
created by a " synthetic " 4th axis.
The included
MXC-45 pipette holder is mounted to an adjustable clamp on the probe axis. The
MXC-45's built-in rotational stop allows easy pipette replacement. The
probe rotates up and out, facilitating easy pipette replacement in tight
spaces. It accommodates all popular headstages with a variety of mounting
options.
The MX7600
can be used with either our e-series or
MC2000 controllers to drive the stages through an encoded closed loop interface
for 0.2 µm and 0.1 µm resolution, respectively. e-series controllers are
available with a Target / Retract feature. The encoder coupling also
enables the use of the
DR1000 digital readout to display either absolute or relative position. All cables are shielded
to ensure noise-free operation during sensitive electrophysiology
experiments.
Our ABP-R
mounting plate is included with the MX7600. The design of this mounting
plate enables coarse positioning between platform mounting holes as well
as 360° of coarse rotational positioning. If rotation with a solid
submicron level stop is required, the
MX-RS rotation stage is designed to mount directly into the ABP-R and has
mounting holes to attach to the base of the MX7600.
