Magnetic Base, 4.0 X 4.0
Magnetic Bases
The MGB-4.0 series magnetic bases are designed to be used as stable
mounting platforms for isolation tables lacking mounting holes, or on any
magnetic surface. These low profile magnetic bases have 1⁄4-20 tapped
holes
on the top mounting surface. They offer permanent mounting to magnetic
surfaces and may be quickly removed.
The MGB-4.0’s elegant design has the magnetic mechanism fully enclosed in
an aluminum and steel framework. The magnetic field of the MGB-4.0 is
activated by rotating a screw clockwise seven full rotations. To disengage
the magnetic field the screw is rotated counter-clockwise seven times.
The MGB-4.0lp has a lower profile than the MGB-4.0. The simple decoupling
mechanism of the MGB-4.0lp uses a screw drive to lift the base off of its
mounting surface. To engage the magnetic base, unscrew the Delrin® lifting
bars so that the base lowers on to the mounting surface. Reverse the
process to disengage the MGB-4.0lp.
