Imaging System
MRK200 Modular Infrared /
Fluorescence
The MRK200 imaging system is completely
modular and can be purchased as a complete system or purchased as
individual units to accommodate other applications. Individual units
include a motorized XY platform, a camera tower with condenser and upper
optics tube, and a gradient contrast optics assembly.
The complete MRK200 system uses our
200cr series stages for 50mm of X and Y travel, with 0.1μm resolution
across the travel range with the MC2000 controller. The large travel
range maximizes access to the chamber and facilitates mounting of
stereotaxic holders for
in vivo
experiments.
Large 12-inch x 12-inch platforms
surround the center chamber platform, providing space for several
manipulators. The center platform is our 8090P with a PC-A adapter
for our PC series perfusion chamber (one PC-H and one PC-R are included).
The modular optical path uses an eight
station oil-immersion condenser and is supplied with a NIR band pass
filter and polarizer. The condenser is mounted to one of our 100cr
stages and uses a 40TPI adjustment screw to move the condenser
into position. The upper optics tube assembly
is mounted to our 7700 series stage (50mm of travel) as a motorized focus
drive. This stage can be connected to our DR1000 digital read-out
to facilitate returning to the focal plane. The upper
objective mount is a two position “flipper” to hold high and low
magnification objectives. Above the objective flipper is a dichroic beam
splitter tube assembly. Inside of the assembly is a single position
dichroic / emission filter mount. This mount can be slid
into position for fluorescence experiments and out of the light path for
gradient contrast imaging experiments. On the opposite side (right)
of the tube assembly is a port for a fiber supplied fluorescence
light source and excitation filter. Between
the tube and camera is a 25mm optic port if other optics are desired.
The camera shown on these pages is not what we supply with the system,
please call so we can discuss the best camera for your application.
