Small Scale Micrometers

   The SM series uses our precision 100TPI adjustment screws for submicron resolution.  These small micrometers are designed specifically for our 50.5cr, 100.5cr and 150.5cr series stages.  The adjustment dial is marked with 20 individual graduations (.010-inch per revolution) and can easily resolve .0005-inch [10μm].  They are available in 0.5-inch and 1.0-inch travel versions.

   The SDM series differential micrometers use a combination of our precision adjustment screws for the fine adjustment section that give 20μm per revolution on the non-rotating tip with 1.0μm resolution.  This provides true sub-micron motion in a manual actuator.  Total travel range of the differential section is 500μm, combined with a coarse travel range of 0.25-inch and 0.5-inch.  The coarse travel section can be locked and has a scale for reading rough location within the travel range.  These small micrometers are designed specifically for our 50.5cr, 100.5cr and 150.5cr series stages.
